Use knees-up or full-body framing
Show one adult from at least the knees up, or use a full-body image. The sway and baggy outfit need more space than a close headshot.
Leave a little room around the person so the video can reframe for vertical or widescreen output.
Keep the face visible
Use a photo where one face looks toward the camera and is not covered by a hand, hair or dark glasses. The person must be alone.
The generator aims to keep face shape, hairstyle, hair colour and skin tone.
Choose even light
Soft daylight or even indoor light usually works better than a bright window behind the person. Avoid deep shadow across the face.
Keep enough detail
Use a sharp JPG, PNG or WebP within the upload limit. A small, blurry or heavily compressed image gives the redraw less useful detail.
The settings guide explains why output resolution cannot restore missing detail in the source photo.
Check the photo on your device
The checker below reviews resolution, exposure, sharpness and orientation in your browser. The photo does not leave your device during this check.
When it looks ready, use the making guide to complete the render.

Know what will be refused
Photos of minors, public figures, multiple people, sensitive content or a face that cannot be read clearly are refused. Only upload your own photo or an adult’s photo with their permission.
The prompt guide covers the separate rules for a paid extra direction.
